Why I’m building Stateful

The books should match how the property is actually owned.

Stateful started with a practical problem: real-estate ownership gets structurally complicated long before a portfolio feels “large.”

I needed one clear place for personally owned properties, LLCs, partnerships, personal cards used for business expenses, and entity bank accounts—without flattening them into one inaccurate set of books.

Generic accounting software starts with a company. Property-management software starts with tenants. Stateful starts with ownership, then keeps the accounting underneath deterministic, balanced, and traceable.

Early Access is intentionally small. I want to learn from investors and accountants who will use the product on real books, tell me exactly where it slows them down, and help shape something dependable.

The goal is not more financial software. It is calmer month-end work, accurate property and entity statements, and a clean trail your accountant can trust.
